THE Holsworthy Library team hosted a poetry competition recently and on Wednesday, November 20, the winners were announced.
There were three categories; primary school age, secondary school age and adult (18 and over).
The competition was organised by the Friends of Holsworthy Library and judged by Holsworthy writers. Winners received a £10 book token and those with a highly commended award received £7 book token.
Results:
Primary school age — ‘Tell the Truth, Ruth’ by Elodie Rose Angel (age 8); Secondary school age — ‘The Truth be Told’ by Isabelle Tucker (age 12); Highly commended — ‘Truth’ by Samuel Farmer (age 12); Adult 18+ — ‘Truth?’ by Malcolm Orr.
