SOME repair work has been completed on bridges and sections along the Bude Canal, although more restoration is still needed.

The 300-yard Dunsdon Reserve section of the aqueduct has been dredged out, sluice gates completed and water-tested for leaks.

One leak, which caused a large hole, was found, but repaired by the contractor, but two smaller leaks were also found on the footpath side.

The Bude Canal Trust will be keeping watch over these leaks to ensure they do not grow.
