AS USUAL, Launceston YFC had their own tent at the show, which as ever attracts plenty of visitors.
There were a number of categories to choose from including the team cubicle and individual events.
The club’s Royal Cornwall Show exhibit was also on show while there was food and drink on offer, including the use of local company, Cornish Moo.
Club chairman Alex Cornish was delighted with how the day went.
He said: “Thanks to all the members who put in the hard work getting it all ready, the tent was looking full and the entries were really good, which is a credit to the club.
“The quality of the entries were as good as ever with flowers looking very colourful, while there were some rather interesting photos displayed.
“The best handicraft went to Mary-Ann Screech for a clay elephant while the best cubicle went to Evie Tummon’s group for ‘One day I went to the seaside’, which was a standout.”
Evie’s group, which consisted of herself, Liberty Scott, Harri Scott, Merryn Philp, Simon Cornish, Sam and Gemma Thomas, Gareth Frain and Sarah Cowling, managed a brilliant 94/100 to take the top prize.
Evie said: “We all love the beach so we decided to go with that. Everyone used their own strengths to come up with their own ideas and we then worked together as a team to come up with the final result, which we were delighted with.”
