ALTARNUN-BASED amateur dramatic society Penpont Players recently held a big breakfast at Altarnun Village Hall to raise funds towards their annual pantomime.

This year’s performance from the Players was ‘The Prince and the Pasty’ and was held over three consecutive nights.

The breakfast, which options were a full English or sandwiches along with the usual fruit juice, tea and coffee.

Penpont Players secretary, Ruth Simpson said: “It went really well and we raised over £200, with most of the village turning up. The money went towards our panto, ‘The Prince and the Pasty’.

“I’d like to thank everyone who turned up, those who helped in the kitchen and all the children who helped with the waitering and waitressing.”
