LAUNCESTON and District Cats Protection held its second plant sale at Mary Chudleigh’s at Hexworthy on Saturday, June 2.

Once again this was a great success blessed this year by good weather. Mary had a marquee erected in her garden, just in case.

There was a very large selection of plants and varieties on sale, together with a stall or two of garden related goods, good bric-a-brac, and pictures associated with gardens. There was also a good variety of cakes for sale plus tea or coffee and a piece of cake, a number of varieties being available.

The event raised in excess of £900, a great amount which all in the branch is delighted with.

Thanks were expressed to all who supported this event and most of all to the helpers and Mary who coped with it, as well as all the cat work she has to take care of.
