A PROPOSAL to change plans for a mixed-use development on land at Binhamy Farm, Bude, has been submitted.
Developer, Catesby Property Group has entered an application to Cornwall Council to make 'minor amendments' to the master plan, which includes changes to the approved uses in some of the development areas.
Catesby states the changes will benefit neighbouring residents and those who will occupy the homes in the future.
In a supporting letter sent to the council, the company states: 'It is considered that improvements can be made to the layout of the scheme that would benefit both local residents adjacent to the site and future residents of the proposed development'.
Catesby is proposing to change the use of six areas on the site: one of the retail blocks to residential; two of the retail areas and two residential areas to become one section designated for retail/retirement village/ care home and the retirement village/care home could be split into two residential areas.
An opponent of the changes, who wishes to remain anonymous, commented on the proposal.
