WITH the final curtain having fallen last week at the HATS theatre on the highly successful comedy ‘Funny Money’, Sarah O’Connor is already making plans for next year’s pantomime, ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’, which she will be directing, writes Christine Williams.
This unusual pantomime tells the story of Goldilocks who runs away from her wicked guardian and finds herself at a Big Top where the circus performers, clowns, jugglers and acrobats adopt her and she is helped by the three bears.
Because much of the show is set in a circus, Sarah is looking for tumblers able to do cartwheels, somersaults and trampolining to join the chorus.
There are also opportunities for anyone with juggling skills, able to spin plates and, of course, clowning. Workshops will be organised to help the cast develop their circus skills.
Rehearsals will be held, initially on Wednesday evenings for the circus people from the last week of October until the show which will run from Monday, January 23 until Saturday, February 4.
