A PLANNING application seeking outline consent for a residential development of up to 190 homes in Launceston has been withdrawn.
However, the applicant, housebuilder Bovis Homes, said it is 'committed' to the delivery of the site at Hay Common for residential development. The application for land south of Tavistock Road — next to the Withnoe Farm site that housebuilder Wainhomes is currently developing — was submitted to Cornwall Council in January, as reported by the Post.A Bovis Homes spokesperson said: "Cornwall Council was unable to positively determine our current planning application in advance of the site allocation policy being fully considered by the Inspector through the examination of the council’s Development Plan; it was therefore appropriate for the application to be withdrawn. Both Bovis Homes and Cornwall Council remain committed to the delivery of the site at Hay Common for residential development."
