COUNCILLORS from across the Launceston area met to decide recommendations for future development in and around the town recently — the latest step in the town framework process, which saw an exhibition and public consultation in the town hall a while ago.
The town framework is a scheme that allows local communities to decide where within their boundaries any developments should go.
In attendance were the Cornwall Councillors for the Launceston area — excluding Cllr Burden, who chose not to attend as he owns land in the area, which could be seen as a conflict of interest — representatives from the town council, and St Thomas, St Stephens and South Petherwin parish councils, as they were directly affected by the discussions.
