A CHEQUE for £1,100 has recently been presented to the Macmillan Cancer Cove Fund by the residents of Planet Park, Delabole.

On the afternoon of November 29, Emma Wright visited the home of Pat Ash. There, she was presented with a cheque for the Macmillan Cancer Cove Fund.

The £1,100 cheque was presented by Ginny Holland, and was raised by the residents of Planet Park in Delabole, from their coffee afternoons and Sue’s Book Shop.

Mrs Wright thanked all the residents for their efforts, and informed those present that since the Cove opened three weeks ago, they have had over 750 visitors.

The Cove is a drop-in centre, where people can get information about their condition and how to cope with it, as well as offering support to their families, being a listening post for them.

There are plans for the near future to open the Cove up for information and assistance with wigs, makeup and many other items that will make patients more comfortable.
