THE world of science came to a primary school in North Cornwall last week.
Pupils at Warbstow Primary had a visit from the staff of Camp Kernow, an educational environmental science centre based near Truro.
Claire Coombe and Charlie Nicholson, directors of the company, bought with them the 'Planet Earth', a giant science dome as a base for the day.
The Class 1 children learned what makes wind and what needs wind before making and colouring their own wind turbines, one of which was connected to a buzzer to show them how they generated power. On such a windy day the children were excited to see how well they worked.
