AN outline planning application has been submitted to Torridge District Council proposing a development of 20 dwellings at land East Of Meadow, Park Shebbear.

A design and access statement submitted to the council by Trewin Design Architects on behalf of applicant Mr A Chamberlain states the proposed site currently functions primarily as agricultural land, is approximately 0.91 hectares and is located adjacent to a recently constructed residential development known as Meadow Park.

The site would be built as a residential development comprising a mix of two, three and possibly four bed dwellings, with the housing being predominantly two storeys in height.

Proposed is a mix of dwelling types, offering a mix of market/affordable housing from first time homes to larger family homes.

The statement adds that each dwelling is to have at least 200% parking spaces across the site, which provides a ratio of at least two parking spaces per dwelling.
