Bude Canal Angling Association Pairs League - Round 4 - Stu Bell Trophy on Sunday July 19.
With two rounds to go six teams are still within striking distance of the pairs league title. Simon Allen may have had the best individual weight with 13lb 12ozs but Me and My Boy were knocked off top spot as pairs fishing requires two good results and father Dave could not back up his son weighing in with only 3ozs.
The Bude Bay Pirates now head the pack with Paul Willshire and Adrian 'Sailor' Hill both taking sizable bream to finish first and second in their respective sections, easily enough to win the coveted Stu Bell Trophy.
Ady Larkins' catch of 6lb 7ozs was boosted by a large bream and partner Kevin Hill backed him up with a mixed bag of roach and perch.
However, this was only good enough for a share of second spot for the Lager Louts as Peter Giles and Paul Braund brought the Tiscott Boys back into league title contention both having mixed bags of roach and perch.
1st, Bude Bay Pirates; equal 2nd, Lager Louts and The Tiscott Boys
