Ladybirds Nursery at Werrington Primary School held a sponsored one mile walk on Tuesday, June 15 to raise money for Barnardo's. The Barnardo's Big Toddle is the UK's biggest charity event for children under the age of five. Each year, up to half a million children have fun with their friends, taking part in their short sponsored walk. The nursery children walked to the cricket club where they enjoyed a picnic and then made their way back again. They dressed as pirates to coincide with their theme of pirates as well as taking part in various activities. Debbie Branch, nursery manager, said: "It was lovely, the children had a really good time."
