A PLANNING application has been submitted to Cornwall Council that could see a takeaway and sit-in pie shop take over the former Gros­venor Wine shop in Bude.

The building at number 22B Belle Vue is currently vacant and the application has been submitted by a Gareth Weekes for the change of use from a wine shop to a takeaway and sit in pie shop. If successful, Mr Weekes plans to open the business from 11am until 8pm daily, taking on two full-time and two part-time employees.

The application was submitted on April 27, and validated on May 9, with the hope of a final decision by July 4.
