THE St Breward kitchen café was humming with happy chatter for this year's pickles and preserves coffee morning, organised by the village church recently, raising £320.
The large 'nearly new' stall proved popular, the figure raised on the 'cakes, pickles and preserves' table was a record amount, and the raffles provided a great choice of prizes.
Caroline Hooper, parochial church council treasurer, said: "The ladies had been busy baking and boiling up their fruit to produce a mouth-watering array of produce to suit all tastes. A big thank you, as always, to all involved."
