THE people of Kilkhampton celebrated another successful blessing of animals service at St James' Church on Sunday, October 20.

All were welcome, fur, feathered or finned. Meeting in the car park, the procession of village children, parents and animals, everything from dogs, rabbits and kittens, a pony called Sixpence and two sheep, Lizzie and Millie, made their way into church for the service.

The service included three well known hymns, played by organist Audrey Bennett; 'All things bright and beautiful', 'Who put the colours in the rainbow' and 'Morning has broken'.
