A PETITION signed by 72 residents has been presented to Bude-Stratton Town Council calling for a public meeting to be held to discuss the Binhamy Farm development.
Catesby Property Group has submitted an application to North Cornwall District Council seeking permission for a mixed use development comprising housing (including affordable housing), employment, a retirement village, extra care facility, retail (discount food and non-food), land for a new community building, public open space and landscaping on the eastern edge of Bude in the vicinity of Binhamy Farm.
ON THE AGENDA
A petition, organised by Mrs Janet Feasey of Stratton and signed by 72 residents was delivered to the council last Wednesday.
In a letter to the council, Mrs Feasey said: "The undersigned persons petition the Bude Stratton Town Council for a public meeting with regard to the Binhamy Farm Development, Stratton, Bude.
"We would suggest that this could be held immediately before or immediately after any site meeting which is arranged, and that the district councillors and possibly Catesby representatives could be invited."
Mrs Feasey received a reply from the council on Saturday stating that the request would be added to the agenda of the full council meeting on February 5. The letter stated that the council would consider requesting North Cornwall District Council hold such a meeting.
