CONDITIONAL planning approval for a loft conversion, ground-floor extension, demolition of existing garage and construction of a new car port and store has been given by Cornwall Council.

The permission was given concerning a property on Victoria Road, Flexbury, Bude.

Cornwall Council informed the applicants, Mr and Mrs Stephenson that they would grant the permission subject to a condition whereby the second floor windows of the north west elevation as shown on the approved plan should be installed with obscure glazing prior to the first use of the loft conversion and retained thereafter. The window, in addition, should be non-opening unless the parts of the window which can be opened are more than 1.7 metres above the floor in the room which the window is installed.

The Council says this stipulation is ordered in order to protect the privacy of the occupants of the neighbouring property.

Bude-Stratton Town Council raised no objections but requested the inclusion of the Bude Green 5 and the inclusion of PV panels on the South West elevation.
