THE residents of Pendruccombe House, nursing and residential home in?Launceston, brought out their creative side to impress the mayor during its annual Easter fayre on Saturday.
They created Easter bonnets with craft materials and held a competition to see who could create the best, festive bonnet.
The competition was judged by Launceston Mayor Brian Hogan.
Kayleigh Zoffman events organiser at Pendruccombe House said: “We had been spending the week with a few of the ladies creating Easter bonnets ready for a visit from the mayor.
“We bought the hats and the ladies decorated them with things like stickers, eggs, chicks, bunnies and sequins.
“They had a competition to see who could create the best hat, which was then judged by the mayor.
At the fayre, money was raised from a tombola, a raffle, a bric-a-brac stall and a craft, cake and pickles stall, which had all been made by members of staff.
They raised £425.85, which will go to the Friends of Pendruccombe House to be spent on future trips and events for residents.
