A NEW pavement has been laid in time for the start of the autumn term. Adam Paynter, Liberal Democrat Cornwall Councillor for Launceston North, said: "Like many schools, parking outside the school is very limited and the road is narrow. "This has resulted in near misses as children and parents struggled to get in and out of their cars at either end of the school day. I managed to get half of the funding from Cornwall Council to remove some of the verge and put in a pavement." For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
