BUDE’S Parkhouse Patchwork Group are raffling a group quilt in aid of the Acute Stroke Ward at North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple.

It will be drawn at the club’s biennial exhibition to be held in the town’s Parkhouse Centre from June 2 to 4.

That will be just one of a number of quilts they will be exhibiting from Thursday to Saturday while the centre will be filled with a wide array of colorful quilts, wall hangings, cushions, bags and many other examples of textile art.

A quilt depicting St Morwenna, made by a group of members, which was exhibited at the Saints of Cornwall exhibition in Truro Cathedral and various exhibitions around the country will also be showcased to the public.

The Patchwork Group’s talents are not just kept locally; some of the members have earned national recognition.

If you would like to come and see what the club has to offer then admission is just £1.50 across the three days while the exhibition is open daily from 10am to 5pm on Thursday and Friday, while it finishes one hour earlier on the Saturday.

Refreshments are available throughout.

Any profit made will be donated to local charities.
