THE Parkhouse Patchwork Group, Bude, was established in 1991 and currently meets twice monthly at the Parkhouse Centre in Bude.

Over the years, membership of the group has grown and the group now has around 60 members.

They are extremely proud that they will be holding their 14th Biennial Exhibition from June 14 to 16, 10am to 4pm, at the Parkhouse Centre.

Members of the group have made the charity quilt, which will be raffled during the exhibition, all proceeds going towards the Merlin Multiple Sclerosis Centre, which is based in St Austell.

When they presented a number of wheelchair quilts to the centre last year, and saw their ambitious plans to build a hydrotherapy pool (Splash Out Appeal), they decided that they would like to support this venture, which will provide centre users and the wider community of Cornwall with many benefits to improve their health and well-being.

A spokesperson said:?“So, if you’re interested in sewing, do come along to see some amazing work and have a chat with their very knowledgeable members. You never know, it could become the start of a new hobby!”
