CAMELFORD Town Council is appealing for residents and visitors to be minful when they park in the town.

A spokesman for the council said: “It has come to our attention that parking within the town is being abused, with people parking on double yellow lines and parking in disabled bays without a blue badge for longer than three hours.

“We have taken note of the registration numbers of repeating offenders and are now organising training as a matter of urgency so that members of town council staff can issue fines.”

In particular, the council will be focusing on the disabled bays outside the library, Liberal Democrat Club and the loading bay near Needle and Thread.

The spokesman added: “Please park in the free car parks and keep Camelford safe for all and accessible for disabled persons.”
