PARKING your vehicle in Launceston will be four times as expensive as parking in Chelsea in London if Conservative plans to impose new charges come into force.

Launceston Lib Dem councillors Alex Folkes and Sasha Gillard-Loft have been encouraging local shopkeepers and business owners to have their say on the proposed increases.

"Over the past week, I've spent a good deal of time talking to business and shopkeepers in Launceston about Council proposals to change the car park prices." said Cllr Alex Folkes, Liberal Democrat Councillor for Launceston Central.

"Whilst there is a little good news, the vast majority of charges will be increasing dramatically."
