Morwenstow Parish Council is delighted that the first phase of the play-park refurbishment has been completed.

The old swings have been removed and have been replaced with a quad swing comprising of two cradle seats and two flat seats and a bird’s nest swing. They have also installed five pieces of equipment making a junior assault course. Unfortunately, many organisations are not giving grants at present due to the pandemic, however, the Parish Council were extremely fortunate in obtaining grants towards the cost from Viridor and Grantscape.

They are hoping that next year, once the situation improves, they will be able to obtain a grant to complete the refurbishment with the installation of an infant assault course.

The Parish Council would like to thank Denise May for all the time and hard work she spent applying for the grants on behalf of the Council.
