IN celebration of the Queen’s 90th year, commemorative coins are being made available — and St Breward Parish Council has begun distributing them, for free.
The commemorative medal, in honour of the Queens 90th Birthday, is being distributed by the parish council to children aged 11 years and under, who live in the parish, or attend St Breward School, with only 80 years to catch up with Her Majesty for school pupils and village residents who are eligible to receive these medals.
Two such pupils are, Millie Valley-Read, 11, and Reece Davey, 10, shown in the picture with a sample commemorative medal for the Queen.
All those children eligible to receive a medal must be registered, with registration forms available in St Breward Stores and Post Office.
Although they are free to children under 11, additional ones can be purchased with a small charge.
The parish council would be pleased to take orders for additional coins at a cost of £3 each.
The parish council is requesting parents of children register for a coin by May 13.
For more details on registering, please contact Anita Cornelius, clerk to St Breward Parish Council, by emailing [email protected].
