TWENTY-SIX paintings full of beauty, light and intrigue, of North Cornwall subjects or by artists living and working there are now on display at Launceston's Lawrence House Museum.
The paintings are the gift of Mrs Jane Castling from Boscastle, who collected them with her late husband. She was looking for a new home for the collection — fortunately for the museum, she was consulting Launceston estate agent Kevin Hicks on another matter. He suggested Lawrence House Museum as a suitable recipient and a means for her to keep the collection together.
Museum curator Jake Jackson had no hesitation in accepting the wonderful gift, which will be on display in its Exhibition Room and Inner Hallway until September.
