LAUNCESTON Neighbourhood Team and its Partner Agencies will be holding a PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting in the town on Tuesday (March 24).

PACT is central government driven and empowers the local community in identifying issues. The top three issues are then tasked to the PACT panel to be dealt with as the 'Town's Priorities.'

The panel is represented by various agencies included North Cornwall District Council's dog warden, Town, County, District and College Councils and Environmental Health. It gives an opportunity for those who attend to identify the key people in their area and who can make a real difference to their quality of life.

PC Matt Kingdon from Launceston Police said: "Local people pay for the local services and have a right to a voice and a reply. We are continually asked, 'What are the police doing about it?' and in the majority of the cases nothing has been reported. This is Launceston's chance to have a voice with any issues or concerns relating to the town centre of Launceston.

"For a true understanding of what our local issues are we need a true cross section of the community to attend. We look forward to seeing as many people as possible. Any questions can be directed to myself be calling 01566 771419 or email [email protected]">[email protected]."

The meeting will be held at The Eagle House Hotel, Launceston at 7pm.
