The Bude Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding PACT meetings for both the town and rural beats on dates to be confirmed in June.
In these meetings the respective Neighbourhood Beat Managers, PC Dave Monkton and PC Gary Luxton will give updates on the work carried out on the current priorities for each beat and will determine if new priorities need to be identified.
Historically local PACT meetings have only attracted very small numbers of attendees and the policing priorities for the majority have generally been set by the minority. In order to gather as much public opinion as possible the Bude Neighbourhood Team will be consulting widely during May.
Officers will be seeking and recording views at all their surgeries, public meetings and posting PACT postcards through residents' homes.
In this way as many opinions as possible will help inform the PACT meeting and the subsequent local policing priorities.
Alternatively the community can register their main priority with them by e-mailing them on [email protected]">[email protected], stating PACT Priority in the text or by phoning the Neighbourhood Policing Team number on 01288 357502.
If the team are unable to answer the phone then you can leave your PACT Priority as a message and the team will ring you back to confirm it has been received and registered.
All members of the community visiting the station are also being invited by Station Enquiry Officer Alan Baxter to fill out a PACT postcard.
