THE Rotary Club of Launceston started its Christmas season with an annual Christmas concert, organised this year by Rotarian Dave Shrimpton. The venue was Launceston Town Hall by courtesy of the Mayor, Rob Tremain, who was also guest of honour. Launceston Town Band were their usual magnificent selves, with the Launceston Male Voice Choir, The Minstrel Singers, The Mini Minstrels and a rock group from Launceston College 'Innovations'. It was a very successful evening thanks to the technical help received from Launceston Amateur Dramatic Society (LADS) and a retiring collection was made for Rotary charities. Over £500 was raised.
