LAUNCESTON and District Cats Protection held their Christmas fayre on Saturday, November 23 at Lifton Community Hall.

This event was extremely well supported and was very busy from start to finish. As always the room was packed with all kinds of bargain-priced goodies and, of course, Christmas cards, 2020 calendars and diaries, books, jigsaws, Cats Protection items, cat-related items, jewellery, clothing, household linens and lots more, plus lovely homemade cakes. Snacks and drinks were available all day.

The result was the fantastic sum of £1,591 being raised. All branch members are delighted with this outcome and wish to thank their loyal supporters plus all helpers, before, on and after the event for their hard work in helping to make it such a success.

Due to age/health reasons the secretary feels she needs to pass this position over to someone else — anyone who feels they could and would like to take this on should contact Mary on 01566 773814 or Carol on 01288 353889, [email protected], who will be around to explain the work.
