A LARGE number of people took advantage of the good weather on Sunday and visited the Delabole Football Club Fun Day, held in the village playing fields.

There was something for all the family, with pony rides, bouncy castle, ball pool, games, cream teas and refreshments.

There was also a visit from a Sea King helicopter from Culdrose, which did a fly past and mini display.

Members of Delabole Fire Brigade provided a lot of entertainment, allowing children to look inside the fire engine and have a go at using the hose. They also carried out a crash rescue demonstration.

A car boot sale was also held in the playing fields and there were many buyers eager to grab a bargain.

Over £1,200 was made for Delabole Football Club funds, and organisers have extended their thanks to everyone for helping and supporting the event and for making it a success.

See next week's 'Post' for photos from the event.
