DEVON County Council’s ‘Community Road Warden’ scheme has been such a successful venture it is committing more than £100,000 to extend it.

Following the successful pilot of minor pothole repairs the county council has decided to put more money towards increasing the scope of the community road warden scheme. Any community already signed up to the scheme will also now have the opportunity to carry out minor road repairs. Each community signed up will be able to apply for funding support, which can be used for materials and equipment to undertake work on the highway.
