THE Falcon Hotel in Bude have presented a cheque for over £1,000 to Children’s Hospice South West, following a series of events.
The Falcon Hotel, also co-organisers of the popular ‘Budelicious’ food festival, held a series of charity lunches as well as a winter warmer folk weekend, guess the name of the nurse competition and a St Piran’s Day ‘Trelawny Shout’, which overall raised a total of £1,075.17.
Carol Robinson, from the Falcon Hotel, knitted and donated a nurse doll to the cause, presenting the doll to Emily Hooker and Bailey after Emily correctly guessed the doll’s name as ‘Matilda’.
The hotel will be hosting a charity afternoon tea in aid of the hospice in July.
