THE annual Farmers Rogation Service took place at the Hallworthy Market on Sunday, May 5.

Rogation Sunday is the day on which the farm crops are blessed.

Around 70 people gathered at the market for the service and to listen to the guest speaker, the Rector of Ashwater, Rev Jane Lucas.

The hymns were led by the St Gennys Silver Band under their musical director Tony Burton.
