A SPLENDID selection of scarecrows was presented for judging at the Egloskerry scarecrow week this year.

From the exhausted gardener ‘hitting the bottle’, to the lad on his bike doing a ‘wheelie’ over the garden gate.

A mention must go to number five with such a beautiful mermaid so far from the sea. Number one’s scarecrow, or ‘scaresaurious’ was impressive.

All 22 entries showed a good range of different skills and a vast amount of imagination.
