CLAWTON Pre-School achieved an overall grade of 'outstanding' following a recent Ofsted inspection.
"Clawton Pre-School is an outstanding provision," Ofsted reported following their recent inspection of the setting.
Since opening in 2006, Clawton Pre-School has gone from strength to strength, and has now achieved an overall grade of 'outstanding' from Ofsted, the governing body.
The recent report commends the leadership and management of this "exciting, bright and imaginative environment." It goes on to comment on the children's "outstanding language and communication skills" and concludes: "The children's attitude to learning and their confident approach is an outstanding foundation for their future learning."
Clawton Pre-School operates from a community room in the grounds of Clawton Primary School. As well as the community room, the children have access to a secure outside area and a large sports hall.
The setting is registered for a maximum of 20 children with admission starting from two and a half years. The pre-school is managed by a committee of parents and interested others and currently employ three members of staff, all with appropriate qualifications.
The pre-school's close links with Clawton Primary School makes for easy transition once the children reach school age. There is also a mother and toddler group operating on Friday morning for the younger ones.
