Launceston residents have been busy litter picking around the town.
In aid of ‘Clean for the Queen’, a few of the former committee members of Stourscombe Residents’ Association collected litter for more than two hours.
Members went around the Stourscombe estate on Friday, searching out and bagging litter.
They filled six ‘Clean for the Queen’ bags, supplied by Launceston Town Council, along with other items they collected from the hedges such as a red broken storage bin, lengths of wood and a section of plastic drain.
The bags, and other items, were placed by Snowdrop Crescent’s dog litter bin on the green, ready for collection.
Cornwall Council’s waste collection team promptly collected the rubbish and took it away.
