AN ANIMAL Day was recently enjoyed by all at the Little Otter's Children's Centre, Otterham.

The children were introduced to Millicent the Millipede, Boris the Bearded Dragon, Boo the Barn Owl and Tyke the Chinchillia.

Jack Pressman from the Animal Lecture Service talked to the children about the different features of the animals, where they came from and what they liked to eat. The children then had the opportunity to touch and stroke each animal.

The children were

delighted to meet the

variety of animals, even the very young children were fascinated by the hands on experience!

Following the visit the children took part in a

variety of animal focused activities including, animal face painting, and they made animal collages using a variety of materials following this sensory experience.
