THERE were many events taking place during the day at Camelford on November 26, prior to the switching on of the Christmas lights and firework display from 6pm, writes Helen Pusey.

In Camelford Methodist Church there was an exhibition to highlight various ‘Beginnings’. Huw Huntley, organiser, said: “We have had around 40 people in today which is not too bad considering there is so much going on in Camelford. Tonight we expect over 100.“

Different groups from around the town had created their very own slant and theme of the word beginnings. For example the display; from the beginning of man there had been music made by ‘Seriously Aweful Sinfonia,’ highlighting musical beginnings and how far all had come along with other music through the ages.
