THE production of Carmen, at Launceston Castle last week, was the second visit from the Garden Opera Company, organised by Launceston College.
Last year La Traviata was performed, in the playground, with children from South Petherwin singing the gypsy chorus as part of the first act.
Organiser, Susan Phipps, said: "It was such a success the college are now trying to make it an annual event, as the castle green is the ideal setting."
Commenting on the attendance, she added: "It was much better than last year, lots of people must have waited to see what the weather would do, so the audience actually was about 50 per cent up!"
