FIVE gardens at Kelly House near Lifton were opened for the public to enjoy on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28 in aid of the local children’s charity, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

CHSW were delighted to announce that over £500 was raised at the house and hamlet open gardens event.

Zoe Partridge, community fundraiser for CHSW, said: “On behalf of all of the children and families that we support with short breaks and care at our hospices I would like to thank everyone who came along to see the beautiful gardens in Kelly and to all the garden owners who worked tirelessly to get their gardens so beautiful.”

CHSW relies almost entirely on voluntary donations to the charity through events such as this to reach the £3-million a year to run its Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell.
