AT ITS recent meeting, members of Launceston Rotary listened to a "very interesting" talk given by Mim Spettigue, regarding her experiences as a dancer at the opening and closing ceremonies of the London Olympics.

Mim, who is a dance teacher, explained that she had applied to dance at the Olympics and initially her application had been randomly selected which led to an audition in London.

She was called back to London for a role specific audition and again was successful. It was at this stage that she realised what was involved.
