THE Launceston Railway Circle need the public’s help as they search for old Cinefilm and pictures of Launceston Railway for an upcoming event.

Members of the Circle are looking for any Cinefilms on railways in and around the Launceston area from 1964 to 1966. They are also hoping the public will be able to provide photographs of Launceston from 50 years ago.

The Launceston Railway Circle wants to be able to loan both Cinefilm and photographs from the public, which will then be incorporated in an evening presentation they will be holding on October 21.

The event will be held in the Launceston Town Hall, showing Launceston and the surrounding areas since it lost its railway connection.

If any readers from the Launceston area are able to help the Launceston Railway Circle and provide such images or Cinefilm they are asked to contact the group’s publicity officer Les Whaley on 01566 774622 or email les.whaley@talktalk.net
