AN ‘Iconic Holsworthy Charity Calendar’ launch will be taking place on Wednesday, October 26, in the town’s Memorial Hall, with money from sales going to three local causes.

Doors will open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and the team behind the project would love to see a large crowd attending this event.

All the pictures within the calendar have been taken somewhere in Holsworthy and capture some of the most iconic images in photographic history — so look out for some local town landmarks within this new charity calendar.

The event, taking place in the town’s Memorial Hall, is being supported by the Holsworthy Rotary Club and will be raising money for three local causes; the Memorial Hall, Holsworthy Church and entertainment for next year’s St Peters Fair.

The pictures included in this iconic Holsworthy charity calendar are being kept a closely guarded secret so if anyone is curious to see what the team has produced they are advised to attend this local unveiling event.

Photographer Rodney Parrish, who was part of the team responsible for making the calendars, said: “We had a good bit of fun along the way with all local people taking part in the, what I would call, fun iconic pictures.”

Those involved with the project have extended their thanks to all the local businesses who have sponsored the calendar adding: “Without them there would be no calendar.”

There is no admission charge for the event. There will be 200 calendars available, which they hope to sell on the night for £7.99 each. All money collected will go to the three local causes. All are welcome to attend.
