OAKDALE residents in Lydney can air their views on the development and get an update on the plans for phase two next Tuesday (April 28).

Key stakeholders have organised the drop-in session at Naas Lane Community Centre from 3.30pm to 5.30pm so they can not only meet residents but anyone interested in buying or renting a home on the scheme.

Those who will be present include Kier Homes, land developers MMC, Bromford, and Lydney Town Council.

Fiona Miller, neighbourhood manager at Bromford, said: "We are hoping residents will come and talk to us about their experiences of living on this impressive new development. What works well? What would people like to see in the future?"

Also present will be the newly-appointed management committee Base Estates.

Fiona added: "We are also hoping that Base Estates will come along to talk to private and rental customers about the services they will be providing in the future."

Bromford wrote to residents last week informing them they have amalgamated with Fosseway Housing Association Limited as part of its 'legal structure'.

One of the residents, who have been campaigning for a path to the town from the development, Jessica Lane said: "As far as we know nothing's changing. I think the merger may be a good thing – we shall wait and see."
