Martin Ryan, chairman of Launceston’s NSPCC branch, received a cheque recently for £410 from Barrie Boundy, the chairman of Launceston’s Rotary Club.
Launceston Rotary Club organised a collection in the town’s Tesco on Wednesday, December 19 to raise money for the charity.
Martin said: “The Rotary Club has always supported the NSPCC, for which we are ever grateful and they endured the wind and cold at Tesco in order to raise this magnificent sum.
“We would also like to thank Shelley, Tesco’s community representative, for her help in achieving this. Thanks once again to all of those who helped in the collection.”
