MEMBERS of Bude Platoon Cornwall Army Cadet Force wore their uniforms to school last week as part of Uniform to Work Day — one of the initiatives to promote this year's Armed Forces Day. The event was arranged by Bude Police PCSO Stuart Baxter, with the help of Budehaven deputy headmaster David Sellers. The pupils raised a lot of interest in school and answered questions from their peers about the Army Cadet Force in Cornwall. Cadets also headed off to Dartmoor at the weekend for an expedition camp, where they undertook a walk designed for them to practice their navigation skills and slept out in tents. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
