IT is that time of year when Holsworthy Town Council invites residents of the town and the surrounding parishes to send in nominations for the title of Honorary Freeman of Holsworthy.
This civic honour is awarded annually to an individual who resides in the Holsworthy area and has served the town and its people through personal good deeds or as part of a larger organisation, making a real and tangible contribution to the life and essence of Holsworthy.
The award was established ten years ago and last year's recipient was Celia Sanders.
This year it will be presented at the annual town meeting, to be held in the Market Hall in April.
The winner will hold the title for a year and receive the Honorary Freeman's Silver Cup, a framed certificate and an invitation to join the mayor with partner or spouse at the Court Leet meeting during St Peter's Fair week.
Nomination forms can be obtained from the Holsworthy Information Centre or the library and must be returned to the town clerk's office by noon on Friday, March 27.
